Tip of the month
Why buying a new home here a few tips to keep in mind.
Research your builder: find out what their track record is?, what extra features they offer?, how they have handled problems in the past?, are they registered under the new home warranty program? and the rules for visiting your home while it is under construction?.
Negotiate as much as you can from the start. This when you have the most power at the time you make the Agreement of Purchase and sale. Think ahead and know exactly what you want and then negotiate up front. They are many things that can not be changed after or could cost you to change or add.
Be careful of upgrades and the costs involved. Try to iron these out up front so you are not left buying a home that you can marginally afford

Can you tell me the altitude of Stratford. I want to do some canning and the amount of pressure I use depends on the altitude. I can't seem to find that information on the INTERNET.
Thank you for your question and checking out KoolFM's website. Your question is great but it something I too would have to search for. I had a quick look myself for you and without finding a definite answer and taking away time from my real estate clients. I would say at least 20,000 feet. The other option for you is to call an airport or a balloon company.
If any of our other reads can help with this answer, it would be greatly appreciated.
Is it a Sellers market or a Buyers market?
It varies depending on which price range you are looking in. Sellers dominate in the $250,000. and under market. Prices have risen and the buyers looking in this price range find there are few homes to choose from and have to pay the price. MlS statistics show that there are fewer homes on the market than this time last year.
We want to sell our home but know that we need to make some improvements to get a better price. What upgrades would you recommend we make to maximize the resale value of our home?
That is a great question. If you invest now, you will see a return on that investment when you go to sell your home. Below please find a list of common things sellers do, to maximize the resale value of their home. If you have further questions, please contact me and I would be pleased to help you. If you don't have money in the budget for renovations, I strongly recommend that you remove clutter and debris from in and around your home. My other suggestion? Clean, Clean, Clean! This will bring you top dollar for a few hours of hard work.
